India becomes concerned with
Federation's awareness campaign

During the year the Indian press reported: "The Sikh Federation was set up last year as a "political" party and is committed to work for the establishment of Khalistan. It is organising a series of promotions to mark the 20th anniversary of the events of 1984. MPs sympathetic to its cause have tabled motions in the British Parliament drawing attention Promotion to mark the 20th anniversary of the events of 1984
to the issue." The Federation also revealed that it has received support from several prominent members of the UK Government, including Ministers who have written stating they support the campaign to highlight the atrocities by the Indian authorities and to seek justice for the Sikh Nation.
