The ISYF was banned in the UK more than 10 years ago in March 2001 and this was widely acknowledged at that time by many UK politicians, including Ministers that this was a direct result of pressure from the Indian authorities.

Sikh Federation responds to SGPC regarding June 1984 memorial
The Sikh Federation (UK) that has over 180 affiliated member organisations, including Gurdwaras, local youth and women's groups, groups for the elderly and other local Sikh organisations in the UK has sent a letter via email to the SGPC regarding the June 1984 Memorial. The SGPC web site: http://www.sgpc.net/ has specifically requested Panthic organisations abroad to respond in writing by 28 July 2011. The letter sent by Bhai Amrik Singh, Chair of the Sikh
